For my old and new followers, here are some fandoms and favorite characters you can get to know me by.

Curious to see what we have in common and what this says about me.

Reminder that you are under no obligation to talk about anything that you're uncomfortable with or feel that you're not knowledgeable enough about. Especially when there are more knowledgeable people to talk about those things.

Stay informed, yes, but talk about what you want to.

The soundtrack is an underrated banger as well. Tough call to say whether I prefer it over Halloween's.

How the hell did I miss out on John Carpenter's The Fog until now?

Really underrated movie (and soundtrack) and its a rare horror movie without any blood and gore. Yet it does a great job at building up the tension and atmosphere.

No amount of ass kissing will make the far-right like you, and if you bend the knee to them, all you will end up doing is alienate your existing fans who will lose respect for you and not want to support you.

Studios and corporate America need to get that caving to the demands of that administration and trying to appeal to MAGA will not end up well for them.

Look at Target and Disney.

It will always be weird when people get mad whenever someone sets boundaries on social media.

You do not have a right to other people's posts, especially if your intention is to bully them or shove your shitty opinions in their face.

Star Trek: The Next Generation's intro will always be iconic.

The best comedians are always the ones who never punch down and make the rich and powerful their targets.

I don't think it's a coincidence that many of the comedians who took Saudi blood money are the punch down types who meltdown whenever they're criticized.

Oh, 100%. I think he was always jealous that Obama won it and is still popular while he didn't and isn't.

The failure of the legacy press to hold him accountable and their desire to act as his propagandaists so he won't yell at them is a big reason for how we got here.

I think everyone would like a ceasefire that actually holds up, but stop pretending Trump cares about peace. He's a narcissist who wants to slap his name on everything, get praise, have other counties bend the knee, and is desperate to win the Nobel Peace Prize.

Any director or creative person who sells out to AI is someone who should no longer be taken seriously or given respect, because it tells me that they're throwing other creative people under the bus and are gullible enough to buy into the hype that people actually want this slop.

I've already put about 50 hours into the new Story of Seasons.

Cozy games are my jam that I can put hours to, and are honestly a good distraction. Do what brings you joy.

I listed the movies in order of their release and I couldn't decide between Predator and Prey, so they're tied.

Don't get me wrong, I enjoy the classics like Halloween and Nightmare on Elm Street, but I feel like the ones I listed more uniquely represent my tastes.

Conservatives really do live in an alternate reality.

Conspiracy theories have replaced facts, lies are their truth, and no matter how many times you call out their hypocrisy or lies, they'll still believe whatever their cult leader or some YouTuber says.

Don't get me wrong, there ARE good critics and media criticism channels out there, but again, the algorithms always promote the most toxic ones.
nerdysasquatch.bsky.social
I would still love to know what it is about Film Twitter and the animation community that attracts the most insufferable and egotistical people who wouldn't know good faith criticism if it bit them in the ass.

Going to say it again - if your business model can't exist without theft, then it should not exist at all.
nerdysasquatch.bsky.social
I can't stress enough that hating things because they're popular is not a substitute for a personality or good faith criticism.

If anything, I see it as a red flag that someone not only lacks critical thinking skills, but only cares about likes, clout, and attention.
nerdysasquatch.bsky.social
"This movie I don't like is made by AI" has got to be one of the worst and laziest bad faith criticisms I've seen yet.

It's incredibly insulting to the humans working on those movies, and an "AI movie" will be so bad that even the lowest rated movies will look good by comparison.

I don't think it's a coincidence that the same politicians who want you to believe that censoring the internet is "protecting children" are the same ones who are protecting rich and powerful pedophiles and won't lift a finger to stop gun violence or lift kids out of poverty.
