🎗️ It is a huge relief that the remaining living Israeli hostages have just been released. They can now finally reunite with their loved ones after two hellish years of captivity by Hamas. I also feel deeply for the families who had to suffer through this nightmare. 1/2

Cautiously optimistic that Hamas appears willing to release the hostages and engage in direct negotiations on President Trump’s peace plan. This plan must succeed to end the catastrophic situation in Gaza and to achieve a lasting solution. The Netherlands remains committed to this.

We welcome President Trump’s efforts to bring about a peace plan that could end the conflict. It is significant that Israel has accepted this plan. The Netherlands has repeatedly called for a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, one that would be supported by both parties. 1/2

At the request of the Netherlands and 40 other OSCE countries, an investigation was conducted into the torture and ill-treatment of Ukrainian prisoners of war by Russia through the ‘Moscow Mechanism’. The report speaks of widespread and systematic violations of int. law. 1/2
