In Oct '18, we achieved our Andy Warhol moment, with a 15 minute segment on ITV4’s Made in Britain
That was then, this is now; look around our new premises, see our new (old) machines, discover how things have changed, while still remaining the same. Made by us, made in Shropshire, made in Britain.

6 figs, walnuts, orange zest nad honey in a 6" prospector pan
We remember the days of Slimcea bread, Ryvita, grapefruit & cottage cheese diets.
We have thoughts on the new appetite suppressants, but aren't qualified to pass clinical opinion.
There's no denying their impact on eating habits at home & eating out.
Diet or not, sometimes small is just right.

Just published on my blog a recipe for, plus history of (natch), toad-in-the-hole.

It's a classic and often on lists of the weird foods Brits eat. I have no idea why...it's quite simply one of my favourite meals.

Enjoy! X

Grey monotonous days make January feel like it'll last forever. We need something to lighten the mood, gladden the heart, raise the spirits & tickle the tastebuds.
Recipes from Gurdeep Loyal’s, Flavour Heroes fit the bill. Kale & beans with lemon & maple dressing in a chef’s pan – oven to table.

What's for dinner?
That very much depends on what I can find in the fridge; the final florets of a purple cauliflower, some overlooked mushrooms, & a handful of walnuts for protein & crunch. Cream and LOTS of black pepper.
Just add pasta.

When dinner sounds as good as it looks, smells and tastes.
Just how crispy is that pastry? And yes, I am cutting straight into that Mexican bean pie and no, it ain’t gonna harm the pie dish.

Sound advice from @timhayward.bsky.social in this weekend's @financialtimes.com about cooking in an iron pan - "if anything sticks, ....wait, and it will usually detach itself."
Same applies to our spun iron pans - no need for expensive alternatives.
