Cancer is a systemic disease. Understanding a systemic disease needs systemic rules: Tumorigenesis is a process of progressive loss of original cell identity and gain of neural stemness, the general stemness that determines tumorigenicity and pluripotency.
Making correct association between gene/protein symbols with cellular states/properties is critical for correct understanding of cancer.

The core property of cancer cell is neural stemness,
and it is well-known that neural stem/progenitor cells undergo single-cell migration.
KRAS and AFDN are components of embryonic neural regulatory networks.

Most cancer promoting genes are embryonic neural genes, incl. KRAS&AFDN. They confer cancer cell with neural stemness, which unifies cancer cell phenotypic traits incl. metastasis.

Cancer (tumorigenic) cell≈neural stem cell;

Cancer cell metabolism≈neural stem cell metabolism;

As generalized before, most cancer promoting genes are embryonic neural genes, including AACS.

Nobody knows what is epithelial mesenchymal transition, but it is believed that it can explain cancer metastasis.

Neural stem/progenitor cells are well known for their single cell migration&the core property of cancer cell is neural stemness, but people avoid mentioning it.

'EMT' and cancer:
It is not the mysterious mesenchymal state but the neural stuff that is truly critical for understanding cancer.
The core property of cancer cell is neural stemness, which unifies different cancer cell phenotypic traits incl. metastasis.

Those who believe that the so-called epithelial-mesenchymal transition is helpful for understanding cancer and other things should first figure out
WHAT THE HELL IS THE BASIS on which EMT is established as a concept or rule.

As generalized before, most cancer promoting (incl. therapy resistance) genes are embryonic neural/neural stemness genes, incl. zbtb16.

The symbol ZBTB16 identifies a 'new type' of cancer cell.

But according to embryonic neural expression of ZBTB16, it does not.
Because cancer cell shares regulatory network with embryonic neural cells, &neural stemness unifies phenotypic traits of cancer cell incl. resistance.

Researchers who believe EMT is helpful for understanding cancer&other things should first clarify
ON WHAT BASIS EMT IS ESTABLISHED AS A CONCEPT OR RULE.

Beautiful mol. mechanisms👏
But evidence shows FIGNL1 is a cancer promoting factor.
As generalized before, most cancer promoting factors are embryonic neural factors, inclu. FIGNL1.

Therapy resistance is one of cancer cell phenotypic traits, which are unified by neural stemness.

Some told me that TME should be more concentrated in developing cancer therapy because of inefficiency in targeting cancer cell itself.

But how much is cancer cell really understood?

It would be not a surprise if basic rules in cancer are understood.😆😋🧐
1. Most oncoproteins are embryonic neural/neural stemness proteins, including CK2.
2. Inhibition of oncoproteins suppresses tumorigenicity&boost immunogenicity.
