6/7 🧵 Cognitive fatigue—not physical fatigue—was consistently associated with these white matter patterns in PwRMS.
This suggests that fatigue in MS may arise from early, subtle disruptions in cognitive control and sensory integration networks.

5/7 🧵 Importantly, white matter microstructure (FA) 🧠 in short-range fibers connecting these areas, especially the left inferior frontal gyrus, was altered in PwRMS. This supports a distinct neuroanatomical basis for fatigue in PwMS 🌟
