I guess it boils down to furries being less discerning about what media they engage with so long as the characters are attractive and sexualized. Which is especially frustrating given that Snoot's cast is stolen from GVH, and Wani's cast uses the same dino character design style GVH established.

The rewrite turned into a “complete narrative overhaul” and took just under a year to complete. But it lead to the game being delayed, allowing Snoot to come out first, and the nonstop transphobic harassment delayed GVH further by hurting the morale and mental health of the devs.

At this point whenever the internet picks up a new "punching bag" to mock I just ignore it.
Not only is it usually spearheaded by bad faith actors, but its just really mean spirited.
