We've seen how effective the U.S. "guaranteed" ceasefire in Lebanon has been. Israel simply used the ceasefire as an opportunity to seize territory that their military failed to capture and to murder Lebanese civilians on an almost daily basis.

Territorial disputes are different from conflicts and wars. Right now, the US is installing and manning offensive military equipment in Taiwan. The Al Ghoul is an indigenous creation. Maybe you were watching hasbara. Ammunition is much harder to make, but that's because it's not a matter of machining but rather of chemistry.

Either way, .50 ammo is accurate enough (sub MOA), and the blockade has been severe. 14.5mm might not get through.

Obviously it's the Chinese take, but it's also the Taiwanese take. They both agree that Taiwan is the result of an unresolved civil war. But in modern history, China hasn't invaded another country, but the US? Not so much.
