He doesn't have the cognitive ability to realize the cognitive test is given to people to screen for conditions such as dementia, ADHD, or learning disabilities.
The test is given if the doctor suspects there might be an issue.

Being a huge Star Trek fan, I find my favorite author being @davidmack.pro. For me, no matter which generation of characters he writes for, I can hear their voices jump right off the page.
