Did you know that reading to children helps them build empathy? It’s true. And right now there’s so many reports and studies about how people read less, and read less to kids, and it seems like a time we need more empathy. So please read to the children in your life!

These days I often think of a quote by one of my former 7th grade social studies students, now graduated:

“I don’t want the world to be like this.”
