I'm trying to be a nicer person.
I saw a post not long ago where a developer suggested that because they build their WordPress sites "right," their clients don't need any maintenance plan.

This is a myth.

The biggest security risk for any WordPress site is out-of-date software.

Short article about Celebrate Kids Day and a special recognition for the community group I’ve been working with the last 17 years.

This was the biggest and best CKD (one of the many programs we do for the community) yet.

Have you ever seen italics or other "fancy" text in social media and wondered, "How do they do that?"

A better question might be "what does that sound like in a screen reader?"

Turns out it's not accessible. Watch this video to hear how screen readers handle these "fancy fonts."

I just submitted a proposal for a pre-conference, half-day workshop at CSUN Assistive Technologies conference.

I feel like I could easily run a full day workshop with Access & Barriers, but decided it's best to start with a half-day.🤞

Over the weekend I built a before and after page for a client. I wrote up a post over on LinkedIn walking through how I considered #Accessibility in planning and #development to testing and debugging.

"Disabled people can't be ableist."

If anyone could help out with diapers or a few dollars until we reach payday again it would be super appreciated

Sorry, our credit card is full, we paid our electric bill so we have nothing left until next check. This tears my nerves up.

Just saw a post from someone. “The most surprising AI change I’ve experienced is music. I rarely listen to music now that I haven’t created."

Sir, you didn’t create anything.

I was researching for a new Instagram Reels series I am starting, Mythbusting Accessible Parking. I found that the laws around "stopping" in accessible parking are vague in certain states.

In Georgia, the law calls out stopping, standing, and parking.

In Virginia, the laws only mention parking.

I 3D printed a guitar pick and it works well. The material is wearing a bit fast so I might need to switch to something more durable like nylon.

But I have some ideas to print larger, easier to hold picks with replaceable tips.

I’m having more issues with grip, so this could be great.

Probably my favorite part of when Zuckerberg announced no more fact-checking is when he admitted that the facts leaned toward one political side too heavily and it was unfair.

Read that again. One of our major political parties deals in FACTS and that isn’t fair to the one that is lying.

I wonder why tfg went on about the gulf of America and invading other countries instead of explaining how he is going to bring the price of eggs down?

I guess eggs can’t be too expensive when there are no eggs to buy.

Made lentils and beef in the smoker. It was much better than the already amazing slow cooker version we usually make.

It is thick and hearty with a rich layer of flavors. The lentils were perfect and the beef was wonderfully tender.
