Irritated by C*ntrap*ints’ assertion that Beethoven ruined classical music and it should have followed Schubert instead. I adore Schubert but Beethoven is one of the most innovative, forward-thinking music makers who’s ever lived. Western art music had no choice but to follow Beethoven.
