Microbiologist, previously at Harvard, UC Berkeley, Industry, UT Austin, and TAMU. I used to collect art and still listen to a lot of music. Currently in the Rio Grande Valley.
I saw an article from the Atlantic call the Netflix acquisition of Warner Bros as “apocalyptic.” A lot of Internet chatter with similar dramatic phrasing. I guess cinema-bros rather all movies just be MAGA-themed with Paramount, instead?

I believe the death of movie theaters is an organic market shift. The future may be akin to how not everyone goes to opera or playhouses anymore.

Is there a classification for people that can’t get addicted to things like coffee or watching sports?

No image can do justice to the number of iron golems my son created. Unfortunately, Googling ‘killing iron golems to save our realm’ did not yield a solution.

I can’t sleep. Time to buy used books on Facebook Marketplace and clean my office.

I’m convinced these Christmas cakes are AI. Good try, nerds.

Came on here to post my usual gripe but I forgot what I was going to type.

I’ve decided my new clothing style is going to be sweaty John Candy from this totally non-controversial film.

Even if there was a speck of good faith, dummies can’t fully “do their own research” when science is paywalled.

I guess massive news events mean Facebook gets to push bullshit influencers on your timeline at will? I’ve never blocked so many accounts as I have today. I seldom login to that site and it’s bananas.

I don’t ever drink coffee in the morning, but I started today. I got so many things done.

I went to Vegas at the end of July, and if that’s what people and data call ‘empty,’ I don’t want to know what busy looks like. Tacos El Gordo was legit, btw.

You think the dumb-dumbs that need to learn what an emolument is are going to look it up? They probably can’t even read.

I’m going to coin the term: fiscal pandemic.

After continued tariff reversals, I know now that 47 is just Ted Jones from Pineapple Express and Latinos for Trump is Lady Cop. “Do you have any idea how weak you just made us look.”
