I'm not even sure that feminism is the right term for the irish variant. It's more about defending the marginalised and equality for all than being specific to gender. UK seems to be a "bio cis woman on the holy mumsnet altar of being super special and fuck you if you say otherwise" situation.

As far as I can tell the difference between irish and british feminism when it comes to trans rights is the phrase "pick on someone your own size" and "go find someone else to pick on, and we'll join in".
