ahh yeah, i haven't had to deal with anyone like that but i also haven't been to any irl furry spaces, from what i've seen a lot of people still see furries as "those weird people who wear animal suits and bang dogs" so its a little weird to hear about people pretending to be a part of the culture

did you know? there is only one coyote. if you see more than one coyote at any given moment, that is actually an illusion caused by that coyote moving forwards and backwards in time.

the /nə'vædə/ pronunciation is the right way, even though its a spanish word that would otherwise be pronounced /nə'vɑːdə/, so i think that's what trips people up

they will also ostracize you the moment you pull out your california ID. ive had good conversations grind to a dead stop because i mentioned i'm from california (worse yet, los angeles)

nevada. if you say it wrong in that state they will immediately clock you as an Other. its really funny when an out-of-state politician says it wrong and they're immediately ostracized. its made very clear in their tourism campaign
