To be crystal clear: it's not about what the scientists "told CBC News", not just informed opinion. The science itself is very clear. You can question perhaps the degree of NL contribution to climate change, but it's fact that the oil from here is a contributor. Full stop. www.cbc.ca/news/canada/...

The 2025 provincial election is happening in the direct aftermath of one of the worst climate-related disasters in Newfoundland and Labrador’s recent history.

The advantages of unionization are obvious, so why don’t more workers join unions?

Employer-led union suppression strategies are a key explanatory factor.

September 30 is the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

On this day, we honour the survivors of Canada’s residential school system, remember the children who never returned home, and stand in solidarity with their families and communities.

This Labour Day weekend, we celebrate workers and the vital contributions they make.

Let's stand together to demand: better wages, good benefits, safer conditions, and stronger labour laws because everyone deserves a future where they can thrive, not just survive.

Solidarity ✊

By invoking 107 of the Labour Code to force an end to this strike, the Liberals are trampling on flight attendants’ Charter rights and handed Air Canada exactly what it wanted. Crushing workers’ rights is not fairness, it is siding with corporate greed and betraying every worker in this country.

Shame on the Federal government for (once again) intervening in collective bargaining and trampling on workers’ rights.

MUN is vital to our province’s social and economic well-being. Years of funding cuts has led to the weakening of our public university. Our government must invest in MUN and our future. We stand with faculty, staff, & students in demanding better.
