You are right it was bad, there’s only one semi-decent episode later in the season set in space, that’s kind of a self contained story, I’d watch that one because it explains some stuff and then skip the rest, you won’t like the way the season devolves at the end

Conversion therapy strikes at the legal existence of LGBT people, it presupposes that any same-sex attraction or behavior is open for debate, that it is not the natural result of a person’s innate nature but a choice that can be changed — if LGBT people are no longer a class they cannot be protected

They are building gilded ballrooms, passing out 2028 hats, joking about how nice it must be to be at “war” so you can suspend elections, purging the government and judiciary and even their party of anyone who is not a loyalist — this is not a drill, it did happen here and it is happening everyday

The black bagging of individuals with brown skin, the indiscriminate killing of people on boats, the violence and disrespect against opposition elected officials operating within the law, the military being instructed to prepare for American streets as the new fields of war, the list goes on

And when the federal government is weaving the war on terror, the war on drugs, and their domestic political opposition together abusing power to increase chances of civil unrest and to set the stage for unleashing unchecked control, surveillance, and violence on anyone they deem the “enemy”

When soldiers under the command of governors loyal the ruling party are ordered into states under the control of the opposition to quell descent, and any peaceful legal court orders trying to blunt the escalation are met with increasing threats to install martial law

We simply do not live in a free society anymore if certain people — because of where they live, who they vote for, or what they look like — must live in constant fear of masked agents grabbing them off the street or from their homes and throwing them into detention with no legal recourse

Once they’re here it will be exponentially harder to order any type of removal and we can assume by the administration’s actions to date they will simply continue to forge ahead with their plan while the courts play whack-a-mole

This kind of talk is why I do not understand why Ro Khanna has been embraced by wide swaths of the so-called resistance, he’s also very pro crypto and silicon valley

They could not be clearer or louder about their intentions, meanwhile democratic leadership in Washington responds, “how about some bipartisanship on healthcare subsidies?”
