October 7th, 1998 Matthew Shepard was found tied to a wooden fence outside of Laramie, WY. He was brutally beaten, & he died on the 12th of October.
Rather than allowing their son to become a statistic his parents, Judy & Dennis Shepard, started the Matthew Shepard Foundation to honor his life.

Wow! This could have huge impacts to Garfield County and the Roaring Fork Valley. Also all recreation places like the ski resorts and rafting agencies.
