It's interesting to see the meanings of words change in real time. what used to mean frozen water now means professional kidnapper, what used to mean "has at least a million dollars" now means pedophile. wild

We've updated an old poster of ours to support the strikes against ICE.

"Our best protection from fascism is that they depend on us to keep their society running. WHEN THE SHOOTING STARTS, AMERICA STOPS."

Shut it all down!

My very rudimentary sleight of hand skills seem convincing enough to my 3.5 year old. If you have small kids in your life I highly recommend learning the french drop.

One of the best
The gates are opening again.

Apocalypse Party is accepting submissions and pitches, with reading beginning at the end of March. We’ll be choosing only a handful of manuscripts, so send us the work you believe in most.

If you’ve been waiting for the right moment to send us your work, this is it.

Never forget that it was decentralized, autonomous, grassroots direct action that achieved this victory.

Not politicians, parties, or petitioning.

Let this be the first in a series of victories in which we drive out all the forces of repression and tear down all the structures of oppression.

I think it's time to get used to responding to certain things with "you're not actually THAT stupid, are you?"

I've long had a desire to read books about aliens/ufos but I don't know if I want to parse the outright crankery or just dive right in, caution thoroughly tossed windward

Shoveled snow for an hour. showered. watched my kid make a nest of blankets on the floor to cuddle up and watch a movie. I wish a similar level of peace for you, in whatever flavor you prefer.

The FBI is pleading for agents around the country to volunteer to temporarily transfer to the Twin Cities.

They know that they have to win in the Twin Cities or else resistance will spread—and so far, they are not winning.

All out to support resistance to ICE! All out to the Twin Cities!

It's amazing how much of my music taste was formed by finding The Clockwork Cabaret back in high school. There was this beautiful time where you could type "steampunk" or "world of warcraft" into the itunes search bar and find a podcast that would change your entire trajectory.

I remember "progressives" like aoc during the last election cycle urging people to vote blue even if they didn't like the candidate because it would be "easier" or "safer" to protest against people who disagree with you less. anyone else remember that? how wild.

If *I* were a political consultant I'd talk numbers like this too. I understand dems don't care about immigrants, refugees, the homeless, but if someone wanted to style themselves as a modern FDR without raising taxes, this would be a good place to start. But what do I know?
Imagine if instead of guns and pepper spray they all had blankets and boxes of food and medicine? Imagine the government sending a thousand social workers and construction workers to a city with a large homeless population building modular homes and providing healthcare. Prolly cost about the same.
