My high school librarian and the YDSA at our school are literally running unofficial ice drills. Like we should not be having to prepare our students of color to hide in a somewhat hidden storage room in the librarians office. This is Nazi shit

This literally sounds like a movie plot but I swear to god it’s real. Basically if ICE ever comes we have a particularly awesome admin who agreed to literally announce it overloud speakers. then the at-risk kids go to the library to hide. This is some Anne frank shit

This librarian is our advisor to the YDSA we’re unofficially running at our school thanks to admin that knew that the school board wouldn’t approve. Literally only students that are immigrants, students that are children of immigrants and the YDSA kids know about this

My librarian has a wall that’s actually a door but doesn’t look like one (I’m not sure why it’s there) it leads to what is essentially a big storage closet. She keeps gallons of water, snacks, and books that haven’t been registered yet. and maybe she’ll be keeping kids in there
