2025 was an historic year of demonstrations where people expressed their outrage at the Trump regime's systematic dismantling of democracy in the US.

I love what some of these defiant and articulate people had to say at those protests.

“…lying is too small a term to capture the grandiose ambition of the regime’s campaign of systematic deceit. It can be better understood as a concerted attack to rapidly shift what is politically possible by challenging reality itself.”

History shows military strikes against Iran would strengthen the regime's hand.

Example: the 1999 NATO bombing of Serbia temporarily ended the nascent people power movement to overthrow Milosevic, as Serbs rallied around the government in the face of outside aggression.

Trump threatens 'strong' military action as Iran protest deaths rise

When an autocrat falls, all we usually see on the media are the highly visible mass demonstrations.

But the real damage is done away from the cameras, as unions, businesses, agencies, security forces and other institutions withdraw their support & destroy the dictator's power.

“What happened to Nour is now a familiar pattern for Palestinians and their allies online: Peaceful posts about Gaza are quietly buried, flagged or erased. At the same time, dehumanizing content about Palestinians is allowed to circulate freely.”

“In anti-authoritarian movements of the 20th century, economic noncooperation—more so than protest alone—was the coordinated activity that split elites & made way for democratic breakthroughs.”

Resistance is alive and well in the United States
Protests of Trump may not look like the mass marches in 2017, but they're far more numerous and frequent — and also becoming more strategic.

Despicable corporate conduct:

Greenlanders need to be studying up on their civilian-based defense skills so they can make their territory ungovernable should a foreign enemy try to take over. Nonviolent national defense is a viable alternative to military resistance.

As brutal as Maduro was, Venezuelans must understand there are no saviors. "Liberation" through outside forces never ends well. The US regime couldn’t care less about the Venezuelan people.

Democracy only has a chance when the people overthrow their dictator using their own collective power.

Rural North Carolina is in very serious trouble. The rural economy in our state has been in a permanent recession for 15 years; schools are crumbling, hospitals are closing, roads are falling apart.

Why does our state legislature ignore rural communities? 🌾
