Went to the @norfolkgamedevs.bsky.social AGM meeting yesterday and was once again reminded that Norwich is filled with lots of lovely games people who put a lot of energy into keeping the place welcoming and making it more active on the games industry front 💖

I was invited to attend the Norfolk Economic Strategy launch at The House of Lords this week! Felt fantastic to get to share why I think games are a part of the future for region.

The team @glowfroggames.bsky.social are working on a beautiful game inspired by the storytelling of scrapbooks; Pieced Together.

In 2024 Glowfrog received £15,000 from @innovateuk.bsky.social to support development.

The amazing team @tvmstudios.bsky.social are working on their debut title FOQUES and received support in 2024 from both the @tranzfuser.bsky.social programme and #Akcela a start up incubator in the heart of Norwich.

In January 2025, @jamesydev.bsky.social launched his first game CRUEL to critical acclaim (and rave Steam reviews) and has now founded his own games studio (more to be announced soon!)

The international award winning studio Newfangled Games creators of Paper Trail, launched during the Norwich Games Festival in May 2024. Paper Trail is now available on Netflix!

They’ve secured funds for a new title via @ukgamesfund.bsky.social Content Fund.
