I joined seniors at the Montclair Senior Center for a luncheon town hall to discuss how potential health care cuts and the ongoing shutdown are impacting our community. Hearing directly from constituents helps me bring your voices to DC as I fight to protect essential programs.

The government’s been shut down for 23 days.

Americans are going hungry, missing paychecks, and losing health care.

Yet Trump’s priority? Building a $300M East Wing for himself.
At my Senior Healthcare Town Hall, one thing was clear: our seniors are scared. Trump’s cuts to essential healthcare programs would hit them, and working families, the hardest. It’s time for Republicans to come back to the table and end this shutdown.
Statement from Congresswoman Norma Torres on the Fatal Collision on Interstate 10.
Today, I was honored to attend the grand opening of Chris Hartmire Plaza in Pomona, a new 90-unit affordable housing community. This project will provide residents with on-site health and wellness services, bringing essential care and stability to our community.
Ontario International Airport is too important to be dragged into politics. I led a letter demanding that Ontario International Airport remove a partisan DHS video that violates federal law. Taxpayer dollars cannot be used for political propaganda. No institution is above the law.
#TeamTorres was excited to celebrate the incredible artists who came together for Ontario’s first-ever MuralFest!

Thank you to local leader, Mia Melle, for her leadership transforming our downtown into a living gallery of the people, stories, and art that make our #CA35 community great.
It was an honor to join BAPS Chino Hills in preparing for Diwali! Thank you for the opportunity to celebrate the Festival of Lights with neighbors, families, and friends across our community. May this Diwali bring peace, prosperity, and happiness to all who celebrate.

Pennant clinched, and BACK to the World Series ☑️

Congratulations Shohei on a historic performance — let’s go, Dodgers!
#TeamTorres was proud to join City of Rancho Cucamonga students, parents, and community members for Walk ‘n Roll to school day. Together, we’re building safe, walkable communities where every child can get to school with confidence.
Thank you to the Inland Empire Resource Conservation District for hosting a great Farmers’ Appreciation event in #CA35! #TeamTorres loved celebrating the hardworking hands behind our local harvests.
Donald Trump isn’t thinking about working families — he’s too busy wining and dining billionaire donors in the White House to celebrate his $250 million ballroom. The man who promised to fight for the “forgotten” has forgotten them all.

I joined my colleagues at a Steering & Policy Committee hearing to highlight how these massive cuts threaten CA-35’s only trauma center. Health care shouldn’t be a luxury for the wealthy. Everyone deserves access to quality care.
Every woman deserves the freedom to make her own health care decisions. Instead, Republicans continue their attacks on women. We’re standing up to say: enough is enough.
Republicans shut down the government and abandoned working families. Millions are left without access to care while Democrats stay in Washington, fighting for their health and their future.
Republicans need to come back to work. While they play politics, millions of Americans are left hanging. Do your job.
We marched to Speaker Johnson’s office to demand action. Arizona’s 7th District has spoken — their Representative, Adelita Grijalva, must be sworn in. Every day she’s blocked from serving is a day her constituents go unheard. Swear her in NOW.
Republicans control the White House, the Senate, and the House. Republicans have the power to open the government and hold votes. Republicans are choosing to cancel votes in exchange for an extended vacation.

Speaker Johnson won't swear in Rep.-elect Grijalva — who won her election two weeks ago — because she'd be the 218th vote to force the release of the Epstein files. Arizona’s 7th District deserves representation, particularly in the midst of a government shutdown. Swear her in. Release the files.
To every federal worker unlawfully fired today: you have rights, and your voice matters.

If you have information about abuse of power or wrongdoing by the Trump Administration, speak out—federal law fully protects you.
As Republicans strip affordable health care from taxpayers, Trump is busy investing in polar bears in Greenland, abandoning the Americans who need us most.
Federal workers at ONT are working without pay because Republicans are playing games. Our constituents deserve leadership, not chaos.
