This year, I introduced an approps amendment to ensure veterans have access to legal counsel in immigration proceedings. Purple Heart veteran Sae Joon Park self-deported due to an old removal order tied to trauma he suffered in service. Our veterans deserve the dignity and protection they earned.

He’s so unwell, I’m honestly surprised it didn’t end with ‘please respond.’

Today, I introduced the bipartisan Supporting Blue Envelope Programs Act with Rep. Rutherford. Blue Envelope Programs work, in the IE and in 29 states nationwide, helping first responders communicate safely with people with Autism & I/DD. I'm excited to lead this effort to expand them nationwide.

When families say they can’t afford groceries, Donald Trump tells them: “Don’t be dramatic.”

This is what happens when a billionaire thinks working people should just suffer in silence. Americans deserve a president who actually understands their struggle, not mocks it.

I’m proud to lead the reintroduction of the Native American Seeds Act of 2025 with Rep. LaMalfa, Senator Heinrich, and Senator Crapo. This bipartisan legislation helps Tribal governments protect seeds that are culturally and spiritually vital.

"There have to be consequences for abject war crimes... There's a standard, there's an ethos, there's a belief that we are above what so many things that our enemies or others would do.”

Secretary Hegseth said it himself and he broke that standard. He must resign.

Today, I led 52 New Dems in urging President Trump to take real action on the housing crisis. Our letter lays out 8 commonsense steps the Administration can take immediately because declaring a “national housing emergency” isn’t enough if families still can’t afford a home.

Today, I spoke out against Trump’s pardon of Juan Orlando Hernández, a warlord who fueled over 100,000 American deaths and sent 700,000 Hondurans running for their lives. This pardon is a betrayal of justice and of every family still living with the consequences of his brutality.

California families are getting hit hardest.

So far in 2025, people in California have paid $1,112 more due to inflation under Trump, despite his promises to “bring the cost of everything way down.

Instead, prices are climbing across the state.

70 years ago, Rosa Parks refused to give up her seat and ignited a justice movement. Today, we carry that fight forward against inequality, voter suppression, and attacks on human rights. Her courage reminds us: justice demands action.

Happy Thanksgiving, Inland Empire. Today I’m grateful for the strength, courage, and heart of the families I’m honored to represent. Whether you’re gathering with loved ones or working to keep our communities safe, thank you for everything you do.

Yesterday, my colleagues and I attended a congressional oversight hearing on immigration operations in LA. I experienced firsthand how harmful these tactics are because I was teargassed. Our communities deserve transparency, accountability, and to be treated with dignity.

I’m inviting young people from the Inland Empire to join my Youth Advisory Committee. I want to hear your ideas, your concerns, and your vision. Together we can shape the future of our community.

Today, we say enough. When people are hurt and disappear, there isn’t another cheek to turn. Congress must hold ICE and CBP accountable. Our communities deserve to feel safe.

Republicans can keep passing empty resolutions, but it won’t cover up what’s really happening. Their policies have pushed wealth upward and left working families behind. Americans are paying more than ever, yet Republicans insist on showering corporations and billionaires with special benefits.

Our country is facing a constitutional crisis.
When a president calls for the death of members of Congress, it’s a direct threat to our democracy and to every American.

Violence from the Oval Office is NOT normal. We must protect the rule of law.

In 2021, President Trump called for violence against Congress. Almost five years later, he’s doing it again.

This isn’t new. It’s Donald Trump’s playbook.

Political violence has no place in America. It’s disgusting that our President is calling for the death of elected officials, the same man who incited the January 6 attack. Donald Trump is the gravest threat to our country.

Hardworking Americans are being crushed by rising costs and meanwhile some in power are busy cashing in on insider trades. Congress should be fighting for families, not lining their own pockets. I’m done tolerating this corruption, and I’m fighting to shut this loophole down for good.

Honored to speak at the APAICS End of Year Briefing with CAPAC today. I discussed the challenges our AANHPI communities face, from rising costs and healthcare struggles to supporting small businesses and protecting immigrant families. Together we keep pushing for real results.

Make sure Trump has his auto-pen ready… or better yet, have him invite the survivors to the signing.

Today, we mourn the loss of Deputy Nuñez: husband, father, son, and hero. He gave his life protecting our community, and his sacrifice will never be forgotten. To his family, loved ones, and fellow officers: we stand with you. Deputy Nuñez’s legacy of courage and service lives on.

He visto la crueldad de los centros de detención de Trump. Sigo luchando y seguire luchando por justicia y dignidad para los inmigrantes en los centros, en los tribunales y en su vida diaria.
