One of the producers on Guilty Gear Strive said it was basically impossible to source player feedback on balance changes online because nobody had original opinions and would just parrot what the most popular content creators said and so they had to rely on data and I think about that every day.

This is very true. As an artist, you don't get to dictate how people engage with your art. That is arrogant and egotistical.
in 2026 i would love to see cartoonists collectively let go of the resentment that "comics take years to make and moments to read." 🙏 the contrast in time creating vs time experiencing is true of all art. why complain that someone read your work? Chill out and enjoy meeting a reader on the page.

Think I’ve finally recovered from Thought Bubble 😅 voice was hoarse from talking to so many people and I know for sure I didn’t find everyone. Four halls is a lot to try and squeeze into one day but did manage to get my portfolio seen and have a lot of fun 🤘

Following from our announcement that Quindrie Press will be closing at the end of 2026, I want to make people aware that in Spring 2026 we will be opening a one-off comic fund for UK creators. More details will be released next year.
