this is quintessential tourist shit but they have like 9 different ramen restaurants in this place so I think I might be in heaven

Something I'm finding super interesting about Tokyo is that the balance of technology to people seems very different. Sure a lot of restaurants have you order food with a machine, but everywhere you go there's a guy in a cute little uniform who's job it is to direct traffic or something.

🫧 VALERIE 🫧
A 2D platforming adventure with bubbles, cats and forests. It's not made in a fancy engine, but I hope people find it charming.

👩‍👧 A story from two perspectives
🫧 Fluid platforming with bubbles, bouncing, boosting and slopes
✨ Cozy, light-hearted sprinkle of humour

Once upon a desert sandy
As through winds the trav'ling man he
Spied the face of Ozymandy
Lying, simply lying there
Suddenly there was some writing
Pon the plinth that he was sighting
That the sand and time were blighting
Quoth the statue, "Now despair"
There was an old man you could gaze
At his works in despair in a daze
If you looked upon them
And were mere mortal men
'Ozymandias mighty', it says
My name is Pagliacci, Clown of Clowns. Look on my works, ye doctors; I despair.

Spoilers for Silksong

Finally getting to the Citadel and seeing that it’s such a capitalistic hellhole that you have to pay to rent each use of a bench is a good use of narrative through game design

omg the cogwork dancers is my favourite Skong boss fight. It's so beautiful and sad, but also so fun as a fight.

It's all holistic: Hornet's whole gameplay loop is much, much more aggressive in both directions. More enemies do 2 damage, but she heals 3 in the time it takes the Knight to heal 1.

Really the problem with the Silksong economy is that it's too easy to optimise the fun out of it. Just pick a bench with enemies in the next room and farm them until you have enough for whatever you want.
