They don't understand metaphor, they don't understand implications.

In 10 years I went from $400/months for a 2 bedroom to 700 for same to 1200 for a 1 bedroom then 1300 for a studio then 1700 for a 1 bedroom the. 2100 for 2 bedroom (I had a kid a moved out of the city) to 3000 for a 5 bedroom (finally able to afford a house way way way out in the suburbs @ 550k )

Perhaps killing unarmed hostages waving white flags is going to force some people to really look at what is happening.
