The Department of Anthropology at CU, in collaboration with UCL, DU, and USW, organised an International Conference yesterday on the 8th Rohingya Genocide Remembrance Day 2025. With around 200 faculty members and 400 students attended the conference. It was a BIG academic show!

আজ বিশ্ব শরণার্থী দিবস। প্রতিবছর এ দিনে আমি একটি নিবন্ধ লিখি এবং ফি-বাৎসারিক থিমের সঙ্গে সম্পর্ক রেখে বাংলাদেশের রোহিঙ্গা শরণার্থী সমস্যাকে দেখার, বোঝার এবং অন্যকে বোঝাবার চেষ্টা করি। এ-বছরের বিশ্ব শরণার্থী দিবসের প্রতিপাদ্য হচ্ছে “শরণার্থীদের সাথে সংহতি”। কিন্তু রোহিঙ্গাদের সাথে সংহতি বলতে আদতে কী বোঝায়, সেটা এ নিবন্ধে সংক্ষেপে ব্যাখ্যা করার চেষ্টা করা হয়েছে। পড়ার আমন্ত্রণ।

Dr. Thillai Ranjan, Professor of the IIT, Madras, visited Harvard University for two weeks. But, we spent quality time together and shared mutual research and experience. Yesterday, we had farewell lunch together and said bye to each other. Both were framed in front of Harvard Law School.
