We cannot allow the benefits of e-commerce to come at the expense of limbs, lungs, and lives.

It's time the City takes some common-sense steps to make #LastMile delivery safer.

During my time in the Comptroller’s Office, we’ve worked hard to put disability justice front and center in New York City.

Big thanks to everyone who came to our Disability Justice Roundtable last night!

The horrific realities of NYC jails demand a federal receiver, but Vin Schiraldi is right.

Judge Swain should hold off on appointing a receiver until Mayor Zohran Mamdani takes office.
Judge should wait before naming Rikers receiver
Twelve people died in city jails this year — three over a two-week period — already exceeding the number who died last year. Despite a decade under court monitoring during which five commissioners …

One last Prevailing Wage Council as Comptroller!

Loved introducing Comptroller-elect @marklevinenyc.bsky.social to this group of labor leaders, contractors, and agency reps working to ensure that all NYC workers get the pay they deserve.

As I testified before Congress earlier this year, I thought $56 billion was extremely excessive compensation for a CEO.

But thanks to Elon Musk’s crony Tesla board, a $1 TRILLION pay package for him was just approved. Now shareholders are on the hook for this outrageous sum.

With @nycsanitation.bsky.social updating its Solid Waste Management Plan for the first time in 20 years, New Yorkers have a historic opportunity to create a more sustainable and equitable citywide waste system.

@alignny.bsky.social's report offers a true roadmap to achieve these community goals 👇
NYC has an opportunity to transform our waste system.
The People's Solid Waste Management plan would:

Solidarity with @sbworkersunited.org!

Starbucks releases their holiday menu today—but as a long-term shareholder, my office implores the company to offer something better than a Peppermint Mocha.

Time to restart negotiations and promptly reach a fair contract with its workers.
BREAKING: After months of stonewalling by Starbucks, unionized baristas just voted 92% to authorize a ULP strike unless Starbucks finalizes fair contracts & stops union busting.

If forced, our baristas will strike in dozens of cities on November 13 – the company's busiest sales day of the year.
Starbucks unionized workers say they'll strike on Nov. 13 if coffee giant doesn't finalize contract
Union members say they are ready to strike on the chain's Red Cup Day if Starbucks doesn't finalize a contract with their union by then.

A judge just ordered the Trump admin to continue paying for food stamps during the shutdown. But that’s not a permanent solution for preventing nearly 3 million New Yorkers from going hungry.

Time for Nicole Malliotakis & the Republican-controlled Congress to reopen the government and fund SNAP.

We are devastated by the tragic loss of two New Yorkers in yesterday's flash flooding.
