Pomni walks in on Jax in his room midway through putting on a diaper. As Pomni opens the door, she confusedly inquires “Jax…?” Jax replies in a panic, “Hey!! G-get out!” Pomni, with a shocked and blushy expression exclaims “O-Oh!!” Having just realized what’s happening, she turns inward and says to herself “So we do have diapers here…” with an inquisitive look. Jax, expecting nothing but disgust from his secret being discovered, responds with a simple “H-Huh?!”, unsure of what to make of her seemingly interested reaction. Pomni then realizes she just said that out loud. Her immediate reaction is to cover for herself. “I-I mean I… Uh-“ As she stammers trying to think of an excuse, she determines that if both of them are compromised in this moment, she may as well take advantage of the situation. After all, she’s been secretly missing diapers ever since she got sucked into the Digital Circus… Taking a breath, she decides to go for it. “Would you happen to have any more?” Her blush is a deep red at this point as her heart pounds. “Uh… yeah, but…” Jax freezes for a moment. He did not expect this at all. Another member of the circus actually has the same niche kink as him? What are the odds? His second of shocked emotional processing ends as he rebounds back into reality with a look of annoyance. Despite trying to put on his practiced tough-guy persona, his reddening face betrays him along with his thumping heart, beating even harder than Pomni’s. He gives into the moment as he grumbles, “can you get in here and shut the goddamn door before somebody sees??” 10 minutes pass, and both Jax and Pomni are sitting on the bed together. Jax has finished his interrupted change, and Pomni now suits her own C&A-branded padding. She clearly was in a hurry to get it on, as her jester outfit is haphazardly pulled up to allow the diaper to make contact with her skin. She desperately missed the feeling of soft crinkly padding, having been separated from her obsession for who-knows-how-long. (Interestingly, the outfit seems to have snaps not dissimilar to Pomni’s onesies she has back at home in the real world…) Jax, never one to turn down an opportunity to insult his fellow Circus-mates, remarks to Pomni “I always knew you’d turn out to be a freak.” Pomni blushes as a rush of embarrassment takes the form of blood rushing to her face. She can’t determine whether she loathes the insult or loves it, but it’s likely a combination of both feelings. She merely replies “s-says you!!”, as that’s all it takes to point out the clear irony of the insult while Jax’s padding crinkles against the bed sheets. It’s hard to drop face when your most embarrassing secret is revealed, as both Jax and Pomni struggle with the newness of the situation. Despite the embarrassment, both of them clearly love what is happening as neither of them want the moment to end. This will surely not be the last time they pad up together. Speaking of which, what are the odds two of the five non-abstracted members of the circus happen to share this strange affinity? They both wonder to themselves at the back of their minds, “what if the others are into this as well?” After all, why would there be diapers here in the first place? Why is Pomni’s outfit similar to her favorite onesies back at home? Why are there so many aspect of the Circus that are so… childish? Everyone trapped here is an adult, and yet the environment seems like the machinations of a madman deep in the midst of a regressed state. It’s almost as if Caine was programmed to create this… “little space” 😱🤔🤨
