Call your banks! Let them know Visa/Mastercards action are effecting you as a client of their bank and their banks business itself, Tell them how Visa/mastercard reps treated you! Ask for them to file a complaint on your behalf.

Pretty sure Visa is recording phone numbers now, I have called them several times now. Last few times as soon as they pick up I get "we have already provided you with all the relevant information, we will now be disconnecting the call" and hangs up before I can even speak

Additional tactic. Call your own bank and explain that you've been trying to forward a complaint to Visa/MC but that their customer service reps are now just hanging up on you and other people you know.

Make this issue about their customer service and not about Steam/Itch.

If a rep tells you that Visa doesn't moderate sales of content based on moral reasons, remember to ask what the nature of the reason for moderating sales of certain content was.

If it's not moral reasons, was it financial? Prejudicial? Arbitrary?

Today I spoke with a very pleasant supervisor at Visa. I explained that the statement he read me seemed to be at odds with reality. I made it clear that I was not accusing HIM of lying, but that the statement was not factual. He took a statement from me and passed it on verbatim.

Called today (4th time since Thursday) and was told that visa "does not make moral judgments about what content can be purchased" and categorically did not apply pressure to itch and steam. Requests to speak to a supervisor were declined.

If you are calling Visa, there have been increasing reports of harassment from Visa representatives, including calling people rapists

If this happens to you, please take the following actions:

1) Stay calm! Do NOT engage in harassment back

2) Request to speak to a supervisor

3) If they refuse or hung up on you, call back and *immediately* escalate to a supervisor

4) Put in a complaint of the behavior (script below)

5) Afterwards *or* if they refuse to take your complaint, submit a BBB complaint (script below) Call Center Abuse Complaint:

Hello,

I'm calling to submit an official complaint about abuse I received from a call center representative today. I called at (time) and spoke with (name, if you know it). Their behavior was beyond inappropriate. The representative said (provide details).

Once finished submitting that complaint, tell them you would still like to file the initial complaint you called about. BBB script:

I'm filing a complaint in regards to their conduct when I called in to inquire about the situation between them and several gaming platforms. Upon mentioning the nature of my call the representative on the phone was exceptionally rude to me. They (insert details here).

This sort of behavior is unprofessional and unacceptable. This should not be how they treat their customers.

I would like a formal apology, my initial complaint to be processed, and the company to re-train their call center staff to prevent such occurrences in the future.
