it didn't help that she found out about the party from Jordin. I don't think she would've fixated so long on the possibility that Jordin played her if Jordin hadn't been the one to let it slip that there was a party 💁🏿‍♀️

to be fair, in most circumstances, Alphie would be all the camera he needed. Cam may be a little overprotective, but he's not into turning his house into a surveillance compound. He does believe in privacy and some level of autonomy, so that's not something he would ever do 💁🏿‍♀️

She combed through her brain trying to remember anything her dad might've said regarding Alphie's system health. But normally when he went all technobable, her brain would go soft and tune him out.

"OK, this isn't funny. Alphie, please wake up." Cordie waved some more, to no avail.

Alphie never malfunctioned. Not ever. Especially not after her dad just did his weekly tune up on her, and installed all these updates to make sure she was in full functioning order. She couldn't just break, right?

And when she did charge, it usually wasn't in the middle of the hallway like this. It was at her charging station, in the garage.

"Alphie, are you OK?" Cordie waved a hand in front of her. Alphie normally motion activates when people are near by even when she's charging, even if her charge is low.
