When naming things for #worldbuilding I find it fun to play with subjectivism. Exonyms and endonyms, different groups calling things different things, plurality of spelling (consider: if literacy either isn't centralized or widespread, it is likely there are several different spellings in use).

Every time I have to work on something Harry Potter related at my job (mostly book spines, a lot of them today), I have to be like uohehehehe a trans person has touched all of your books

Nervous. But also it’s Thanksgiving, a historically bad time of the year for me.

I am still looking for beta readers for my scifi body horror and cosmic horror alien empire novel :) it is very queer and cool I promise. It is a story of a gay prince becoming disillusioned with conquest and religion #writingcommunity #betareaders ##writesky #readers #scifinovels
I am done writing my new ending!!! I love unexpectedly coming to a point of “oh I think that’s it actually” when trying to figure out an ending.
I have been doing a lot of heavy brainstorming to try to come up with a better ending to one of my “finished” novels and I am so very tempted to end it with a very weird sex scene.

It's getting worse. I spent all my half-waking hours being like "what if this" and "what if that" and now I am convinced. Time to tie the grander narrative about the self vs the other in the vein of genocidal imperialism to the main character's pyschosexual desires and experiences. #writesky

I love describing feelings as landscapes. I love the grotesque. I love describing body horror. I love when the words have a rhythm. I love specific words and how they feel. I love repetition, sentences that wind on and on in delirium and hard stops as the writing itself swallows its breath.
Talk to me, fellow writers.

We all joke writing being hard—and it is, sometimes!—but I want to hear about the writing that bring you joy, too.

Not "what are you good at". That's a different question. What makes the words flow? What makes you go <sickos at the window> when you get to write it?
