We asked Pradeep Singh (Oceano Azul Foundation) and Jeff Ardron (@nature.org) what they would wish for the ocean.

Their answer takes us into the deep sea.

💻 #Webinar - Managing Protected Areas in a Changing Ocean: Why scientific research is key to informing climate considerations, Part 2

🏛️ By: Lenfest

📅 When: December 12 2025

Discover more 👇
Welcome! You are invited to join a webinar: Managing Protected Areas in a Changing Ocean: Why scientific research is key to informing climate considerations, Part 2 . After registering, you will receive a confirmation email about joining the webinar.
This two-part webinar series will explore the key research findings and management implications from Lenfest Ocean Program’s ‘Managing Protected Areas in a Changing Ocean’ portfolio. Climate-driven changes are causing significant shifts in marine ecosystems, threatening key habitats and species that people around the world depend on for food security, livelihoods, and cultural wellbeing. While many countries have designated Marine Protected Areas (MPAs), managers are asking for help to grapple with how to adapt to a changing climate and ensure MPA resilience. In response to this need, in July 2023, the Lenfest Ocean Program launched a series of projects in its “Managing Protected Areas in a Changing Ocean” portfolio. In this second session of the series, speakers will share local and regional case studies from Japan, Baja California, Kenya, and Indonesia to showcase new and different approaches to managing MPAs through a climate lens.
