i used to main sword at the start of the game but i was so bad at tracking hp that i dropped it for squiffer since its an ohko but now its not an issue anymore

i guess what im trying to say is s3 already had a lot of heat for not being casual friendly enough and months after content ended and most players left r rlly good at the game so i can see why the addition of smthing like aura could be exhausting maybe they should've limited it to ranked

like i can't imagine being casual or new and being forced into mid where a guy on aura just runs around procing it over and over again that's just not fun but the maps just don't offer a lot of alternative to face checking said guy

yea i think overall its just an issue with some of s3's design, i think the biggest thing here is adding aura in a game with these map designs will make it hard for more casual players to avoid fighting while still contribute in a meaningful way.. if the maps were more open tho...

but again i just think that this is nintendos vision of what casual means vs our vision of what casual means vs also japans vision of what casual means. i think nintendo arent dumb, they know their player base is mostly "casual"

idk i dont think thats true i think they just have a different vision of what casual means. i think chara explained this best under a tweet i saw earlier where its like yeah okay they want to reward getting kills but it also gives opportunities to "bad" players to pop off too sometimes

but also i think this highlights turf wars problem even more because flow state will just make turf war even more easy to comeback in but i guess we'll see, im hyped either way to see how it affects the game

i think this is also really divisive because people in the west are way more casual about this game than in japan where people treat splatoon like league of legends or valorant here

personally i know i will enjoy the feature a lot but my enjoyment should not be to the detriment of other people's enjoyment and it's kind of sad how such a hype feature is so divisive on an already small player base in the west, both casual and competitive

i think theres a place for both casual and comp players in splatoon and nintendo should do a better job at catering to both at once. i am not quite sure what the solution is, a different queue or limiting certain features to ranked. flow aura is rlly rlly cool for me but i can see how others hate it

i think maybe third kits wave 2 and an extra map could be possible close to raiders tho
