This is awesome. The U.S. Women's National team has training in Orlando this week preparing to play Italy on Friday. 18 of the players already there greeted the 5 players from Gotham who arrived last night; Gotham won the NWSL title on Saturday 1-0 over Washington. The MVP is Rose Lavelle.

The Washington Spirit fans on X complaining about the referee & Hal Hershfelt getting hurt in last night's NWSL championship match are cracking me up. Spirit had 0 shots on goal. ZERO. Gotham had 3 & put one in the goal in the 80th minute.

The NWSL championship was played at PayPal Park in San Jose,CA. The Washington Spirit cheer section began a "Free DC chant" at their end of the pitch. In solidarity, the Gotham fans joined the chant with their drums pitching in.Very cool.
