belgian horror story: you are on a nice, calm train in a carriage with only a few others. you stop at central. a few get off. twenty something male scouts get on. every single one has a scooter. everything smells like damp BO.

a visibly gender non-conforming nurse bring me down for surgery that day. shockingly (to nobody), they only wanted to do their job and keep me calm rather than discussing anything gender based. most health providers only care about keeping their patients comfortable with the resources they have.

i will never ever forget recovering from breast surgery and only having male nurses on my (mixed ie normal???) ward. they were so short staffed and so gentle and kind when i had to ask for help with things that might normally have been embarrassing.

i have discovered that apparently TERFs want gender segregated medical facilities? what planet do they live on? a delightful planet where women and men are encouraged to practice different medical occupations and specialties equally and staff shortages have magically evaporated?
