The algorithms underlying authoritarian propaganda and disinformation is designed specifically to cultivate schism and grievance. Hindering the potential for common ground compromise and consensus, all fundamental to a functioning democracy.

U.S. District Judge April Perry is now questioning DOJ lawyer Eric Hamilton about the National Guard deployment. She starts by noting the 14 CA troops, 200 TX troops and 300 IL troops.

But she asks if those numbers could increase, and whether the troops could go elsewhere in Illinois.

Hamilton is done. We're expecting questions from Perry now.

Pritzker threatened to withdraw from the National Governors Association unless it condemns Trump’s deployment of Texas National Guard troops to Illinois without state consent, calling it unconstitutional and an “invasion,” joining concerns from Newsom

This administration is flooding the zone so furiously that people have largely lost track of the lethal attacks on boats in the Caribbean, the gov’t shutdown, the economy, failed release of the Epstein files & so much else. It’s a tactic of would-be strongmen.

We're keeping track of all of Mike Johnson's crimes against America and the people who live here, right?

To no one's surprise, he's committing multiple right now. While causing undue suffering to millions of Americans. All to protect billionaire pedos.

SCOOP: Johnson closed House hours after Congress received Epstein’s financial records
The decision to shut down the House — and by extension the government — came hours after the Oversight Committee received documents from the US Treasury.

Unfortunately, too many people conflate the dynamics and rhetoric involved in campaigning with the dynamics of governing. One is not like the other.

So here is my question. Let’s assume Miller & Co. are successful, i.e., they deport, jail, kill, all of the “undesirables.” What do they think society is like then? Like, what happens when they realize there’s still crime, drugs, and no one around to do half the jobs, from manual to skilled labor?1/

I think those that use block list, lack critical thinking because they don’t bother vetting accounts for themselves and failed to consider that many blacklist created are labeled under false pretense
okovody.bsky.social
Like the rest, never seen this account before never interacted with it, etc., which is an indicator that they are using a block list someone has created.

For some reason every time I hear the name, Jesse Waters I can’t help but think of prostitution and foreign influence operations.

Speaker Johnson continues to stall the swearing in of Rep.-elect Grijalva so as to avoid having to deal with the Epstein discharge petition. Why shouldn’t Dems make support for reopening the government contingent on adding to the funding measure a provision mandating release of the Epstein files?

One of the ADA architects was present at Jack Ciattarelli’s town hall tonight & asked what he will do with disability laws in NJ.

Watch as Jack barely pretends to care before moving on to some corny story about a joke he made (& then onto defunding our public schools).

Shameful & downright rude.

This creates a loop where toxicity becomes normalized, potentially increasing the social or political cost for individuals to engage in uncivil communication.
okovody.bsky.social
It risks a self-reinforcing cycle of toxicity. Social media algorithms often amplify extreme and dramatic content, rewarding inflammatory rhetoric with greater visibility.
okovody.bsky.social
Exposure to constant negativity, especially online, can fuel political cynicism and make citizens less willing to participate in supporting the cause.
okovody.bsky.social
It breeds cynicism and disengagement. Relentless hostility in public discourse can make people frustrated, disillusioned, and disengaged from the political process.
