Hidden protip: view Bsky posts on #SwabluDev by appending the URL e.g. `swablu.pages.dev/#/[POST_URL]`

Here's an example post with 1.7K+ replies:
- #SwabluDev : swablu.pages.dev#/https://bsk...
- Original: bsky.app/profile/bsky...

It should resolve the URL — a feature from Phanpy, inspired by Elk.

Always thought it was all the images, text etc that I see here. The app view just plugs into the relay/firehouse, gathers it and displays it. Same with other apps defining what their apps want to show. Everyone gets what they want from firehose. Yeah doesn't register but thanks for trying

Both apps are having issues this weekend. First it was Bluesky and now it is Mastodon. 503 errors on Mastodon are common though. Advantage for activitypub apps is that one outage does not interfere with other apps. Photo community pxlmo is still up

if relay continues to work but Bluesky app view is having problems, the chart shows the flow of data going to other app views can still function [1] -> [2]

Since other app views also went down during outage, I'm curious how the alt app views can stay connected? Isn't firehose same? @bnewbold.net

There many different types of blogging using atproto depending on what you are looking for. To get started check out whtwnd which might be the quickest and easiest and attaches bluesky posts as replies/comments
