It seems anyone with an intelligent mind understands that we "Entered this world in its state of disorder and when we leave, we will leave it in a state of disorder".

Yes, I am 78 years old now, and I have lived through many historical events that had to pass before the hope of all people became important again. I cannot bear to watch the news any longer; our country's philosophy surely will pass if I live long enough to see that happen and good return.

Walz: "We've got conspiracy theorists, right-wing YouTubers, breaking into our daycares, demanding access to our children. We've got the president demonizing our Somali neighbors and wrongfully confiscating funds that Minnesotans rely on. It's disgusting and it's dangerous."

A street scene from the '90s (see Alt txt for more info). This detailed watercolour drawing of mine from >30 yrs ago of King's Parade, #Cambridge was completed on the spot in about 3 hours. I was sitting on a metal box that controlled the rising bollards. Sold ages ago. #watercolour#enpleinair

My wife is confined to bed permanently, and I caught a sickness right after Christmas that the doctor tells me will take weeks to improve. In a bygone time, I would have found a live-in, caring woman to help us. I would make a deal we could both live with for the time needed.

I understand, I do, but that doesn't solve my problem. Seeking a woman to be a friend is hard because my wife, though ill and in Hospice, is still alive, and they would rather have an exclusive relationship. I did have a FWB who lived with us, but she didn't work out. At 78, what can I hope for?

I have fond memories of my wife, who is not well, and of her alluring Celtic appearance when she was younger. Probably the genes from her Welsh roots through her mom. My acrylic painting of her from the 1990s.
