You don't have to understand every post on Bluesky. Some things aren't for you and that's okay.

the primary reason rightwingers will never control culture is because everything they do is hinged upon it being a reaction to the broader culture. the TPUSA half time event would not exist without it being a representation of their grievences

Music was better before it became all about the little dopamine hits from having a drop every four bars. Looking squarely at you, every drum and bass producer since about 2016.

I feel like Pride this year is going to be a brick-throwing good time. Given the current political climate, maybe this will be the year we shake off the chains of rainbow capitalism and get back to our roots.

We need to say it bluntly: what's happening in the US is domestic terrorism in the name of white supremacy.

The Protestant work ethic is antithetical to a healthy democracy. If a citizenry spends the majority of their life at work, and the rest of their time taking care of their family, they are severely limited in their ability to engage with political culture and are thus easily propagandized.

Minimizing the window where I read about how our world is a joke and we're at the mercy of megalomaniacal evil perverts. Logging on to the work zoom. "Heyyyy I'm good! How are you?"

It’s not news that neither party has bothered to address any of the issues the majority of voters care about for decades now.

WHAT'S THE FUCKING POINT OF SOCIETY IF WE AREN'T GOING TO TAKE CARE OF THE PEOPLE LIVING IN SOCIETIES.

One of these days I'm going to do it. I can feel it in every fiber of my being. The only uncertainty is when.

What's the point of the state if it's not managing basic resources and industries. Railways, healthcare, power, water, post office and more should be publicly owned. In any sane system this wouldn't even be up for debate.

Same, but like, in a metaphysical, existential sense.
I see myself as an animal that's trying to convince others they're a human and failing at it

Kind of hilarious that the only thing governments can think to do to encourage higher birth rates is monetary incentive, which historically doesn't work at all. It's almost like people don't want to bring children into a world they perceive to be hostile and anti-human. 😒
