In other news, I needed to do some extra voice over for localizations.
My ZoomH6, bought in 2015 for when the #VR community were doing podcasting after #OculusConnect with @reverendkjr.bsky.social & everybody else.

The rubber turned sticky so I had to RMA
10 years later: no problem.

Here's a fun one.
CertOps bug: "we can't tell if you are saving or not"
(Course I was, even made a UI, right low corner)

Implementation:
Begin save: UI shows
Save OK: UI Off

BUT #PS5 SSD is so fast (& my saveData so tiny) that it was showing just for a few frames

Fix: Fake longer saving time...!

Found the cause of the "visual bug" that I was not not of my doing:

It's was a bad engine implementation of #VR Vignetting Post process

Left & Right eyes are inverted AND are globally applied. (!)
So no one else is using vignette !?

Workaround was to make my own PostProcess material

8 days of bug hunts, re-testing, improvements.

Only one unfixable bug left, that I will have to negotiate with @playstation.com (It's not me...!) ^_^

Still waiting for that April patch that will re-enable Haptics in #UE5 (Hard crash bug!)

Then...?

First Sony CertOps ended!

Interesting experience, failed, but as expected, not where I thought!
No performance issues even at 120hz ^_^

But there are visual #UE5 bugs that are independent of my control.
So I am waiting for an "Epic Patch" for 5.5.4 & cross fingers

Localization is 100% for -Story-
It was easier than expected, but a lot of work still.

I had it coming...
UE5.5 depreciated & broke most of -Story- particle systems
I though Cascade would still runs.

About 200 Particle Systems need to be rebuild.
That was not part my original plan...

Rolling back UE to 2 previous version & use the convert tools hoping that will ease the transition.

I am in the process of implementing a "beta" access for -Story-

It's also a lot of extra work, submitting extra elements and getting the green light for Sony's team review.
(And getting through basic TRCs (Techincal Requirement Checks)

I will post submission progress here.

Implementing the whole trophy pipeline is a lot of work.
It's definitely a good learning experience for all future titles.

Upgraded to UE 5.5.3 today.
Runs perfectly on PS5 DK
Now I can concentrate on updating the content.

Current goal is for a late spring release on PSN...
