Getting a heck of a heap of followers, so w/o further ado:

Hey y’all! I'm Maddie! I’m a disabled voice actor, writer, stage manager, academic, & occasional shitposter. She/They. Enjoy the chaos!
No one asked, but for clarification’s sake, I’ve decided to put my voice acting endeavors - ie pursuing it professionally- on hold for a while. Between working on my book &, well, working to survive, I’m stretched thin. I will still record lines for projects I’ve committed to.
I can’t get into it here, but it feels like I’m giving up on my dream. I kind of am, I guess. But I’m also figuring out a new one too?

Theodor Meron survived the Holocaust, found refuge in Israel, helped set up the ICC, then aged 93 indicted Benjamin Netanyahu for war crimes. He stands by his decision.

Started reading Anne Rice’s “The Witching Hour” recently, and oh my goodness the prose is gorgeous! Everything flows so well. The characters are intriguing, the dialogue natural, and I can just imagine the balmy New Orleans atmosphere

Name that one 12-episode anime that changed your life

Work knows, I can be public about it!

I am scheduled for bottom surgery on 2/4. I do not qualify for Short Term Disability, so I need help staying afloat while I'm down. I'm working double shifts in tech support/writing dub scripts until 2/3, anything is DEEPLY appreciated!

Jennings: Let's not get our knickers in a twist here

McGowan: Why are you talking like that? It's insane. Your attitude is just horrifying…

When I was a kid, my grandparents took my sister & I to an anime museum in Milwaukee. They had storyboards from “Yu-Gi-Oh”, an entire section on Studio Ghibli, & a whole ADR booth where you would try dubbing a scene from “Inuyasha” - I tried and failed 😂 It was fun, though!

What do you mean I’m writing novel about a harried autistic adult trying to survive the world when her hours at work are cut, and, through local theatre, reunites with their now-married college crush??

Writer/actor here, but I find nuance in the smallest micro expressions in the human face, the smallest waver in their voice, and distill it.
Artists, I think we're all too comfortable sharing our imposter syndrome.

I would love to see you step out of your comfort zone and confidently state what you think you're actually really good at.

No self deprecation, just what you think you're the strongest at

Is anyone brave eniough? 👀

Our car (necessary for transporting Ben around when he’s in his wheelchair,) might be toast.

I super do not have the money to cover a new car right now.

If anyone is able at all to send a few bucks our way, anything is BEYOND appreciated. Will keep yall posted as we hear more about the car

Which name sounds better for a potential love interest?

Nadia, Lydia, Iris, or Piper?

Thinking of writing a love interest for the main character in my novel and now I’m reminded of every single ill fated crush I had at my all women’s college

I miss discussing fiction with people. I mean *really* getting to the nitty gritty, where thematic elements, character development, narrative choices, etc. are ensconced in thinking beyond value judgments and common tropes.

I miss meta analysis, I think that’s what I’m saying.
