Since I'm going to start using this account again I guess I should do a proper introduction. I'm an artist and writer from Alberta, Canada. I'm married/poly with two cats and a vague cluster of boyfriends. I'm mentally ill but very skilled at it. I am really tall. So, yeah. Howdy and welcome.

The far right has sufficiently destablized the idea of democracy to the point where if Alberta does have a referndum, the results won't actually matter and the province will eventually become disputed land sitting on a LOT of oil. This isn't going to be a safe place to be much longer.

I feel like this has been a year of becoming acutely aware that my brain is not a standard model and is running the wrong software. I miss social cues. I say inappropriate things without intending. I make people around me uncomfortable.

I dreamt there was a very popular video game called "Fascism and Beauty" where you wander through this huge complex that was like a casino, but none of the games were for money. They were just shitty little casual games, like word games or card games. (1/2)

I'm pretty sure folks know I'm pretty strongly #antiAI but I like to keep an eye on it. Last year I tried putting the first 1/3 of one of my stories into GPT-4 to see what it would generate for the rest of the story. It failed pretty miserably. Big tonal and style shift. Plot went haywire.... 🧵
