One of the things I love about Bluesky's logo is that the butterfly emoji is orange and black on most major platforms, but blue on X/Twitter. Everytime anyone uses the butterfly emoji on X they end up "accidentally" advertising for Bluesky. Pretty sure Bluesky did that intentionally. Clever.

Told my landlord about a serious drainage issue and offered to help him find a good landscaper (I used to be a pro). Came home to find that he'd overspent on a company that had no idea what they were doing and they ruined my little sanctuary spot. My own little garden, first one in 20 years. 😭

A few years ago I experimented with AI as a tool for making music. I had it create a few loops, suggest some chord progressions, write some lyrics. I didn't hide what I was doing, I made it the theme of that album. 90% of the work was my own. Since then I've learned more about AI and I regret it.

Not that ChatGPT feels anything, or knows what it's saying in any meaningful way. But hey. It was a hollow gesture that gave me a moment of hollow satisfaction.
