this year has been exceptionally brutal in terms of the ongoing death of my fandom/ficdom, and we are still awaiting the devastation the potentially biggest calamity among all terrible exo events will bring 🫠

does anyone know of anything that was written about the concept of 'normies' and 'being weird' in a fandom context, in longer form?
people talk a lot about it, but unless weird means kinky, i'm actually not too sure what any of it is supposed to mean, given fandom realities (of mine, at least)

haven't heard minseok using fairies (or elsas) in a long long time, which is fascinating given how jongdae uses soondingies always. they do come from very different experiences on this obviously, but one would think minseok would use the solo fandom name he himself coined for his debut at some point

watched pineapple slice for the first time (along with the album trailer) and walked away with a xiubaek fic seed and maybe wanting to listen to the album. the lyrics of this song are so at odds with the mv it makes the mv deeply unserious, so i watched it 5+ times in a row, it was so fun 🥺
