Season 3. Not the best season overall (that would be S4) but the show keeps on improving itself. #MCUProject #FilmSky

This week’s episode is getting frantic as we follow Walter Hill’s 1979 troupe “The Warriors” on their odyssey toward home: Coney Island. We’re joined by friend of the show, Reels of Justice’s very own Dylan J. Schlender. #FilmSky

Utter garbage but it inspired me to coin a phrase: punch the dragon. Danny Rand gets his iron fist from punching a dragon in the face, but it happens off-screen. If a comic adaptation or any adaptation really is afraid of being pulpy and weird, they aren’t punching the dragon. #MCUProject #FilmSky

An outstanding series (until halfway through when they go off a narrative cliff). #MCUProject #FilmSky

Season 2 continued. Why does it become The Inhumans Show? Disney didn’t have the X-Men rights yet. More to come. #MCUProject #FilmSky

Ryan’s Recommendation(s): “Monsieur Verdoux” (1947)

Trades on Chaplin’s exploits as a ladykiller by making a movie about a gentleman who kills ladies. Unfortunately, beset by multiple scandals, his public perception was in the pits and the film flopped. Late style masterpiece. #FilmSky

Season 2. This is more like it. And we get Mockingbird! #MCUProject #FilmSky

Ryan’s Recommendation(s): “The Circus” (1928)

At one point Charlie Chaplin walks a tightrope while being bedeviled by loose monkeys. I know there’s more to the movie but that in particular captured my attention. #FilmSky

Season 2. Less cute than the original but the one with the Watcher is adorable. #MCUProject #FilmSky

Season 1. Inconsequential but sweet. And you can finish a season in 20 minutes. #MCUProject
