While this NYT article pulls punches on Trump's madness, impulsivity, and delusions, it's useful in that it creates space for other articles about Trump's age and clear cognitive and physical decline to follow. Gift link.

The Senate rebuked Trump on his tariffs.

The nation rebuked Trump in the November elections.

The entire Congress rebuked Trump for his ongoing cover up of the Epstein crimes.

Next week Congress is likely to rebuke Trump again, this time over his selling out of Ukraine and our European allies.
Three things about the Witkoff tapes:

1) It appears Western intelligence services have decided to let Witkoff (and Trump) know they have recordings of their traitorous conversations w/Russia.

2) This Ukraine "deal" was all Witkoff's idea.

3) Congressional leaders should demand he be fired.
EXCLUSIVE: US presidential envoy Steve Witkoff advised Russia on how to pitch Ukraine plans to Trump, in audio files reviewed by Bloomberg

Accurate! Pumpkin pie is gross!
Pumpkin pie is a jar of baby food on a crust. Fight me.
Ok this take is unhinged BUT I have my own version of this, which is that I actually hate pumpkin pie.

"There's some signs of cracks, and what we're seeing in Congress is that fear of Trump is starting to turn into loathing of him."

Mark Kelly: "I said something that was pretty simple and non-controversial, and that was that members of the military should follow the law. In response to that, Trump said I should be executed, I should be hanged ... it says a lot more about him than it says about me. I'm not going to be silenced."

Take pride in our fellow American, Sen. Mark Kelly, vigorously standing up for the Constitution and against a violence-inciting White House occupant who is failing to intimidate this good man and honorable public servant.
Mark Kelly: "My wife, Gabby Giffords, meeting with her constituents, shot in the head. Six people killed around her, a horrific thing. She spent six months in the hospital. We know what political violence is and we know what causes it too, The statements that Donald Trump made incites others."

Targeting Kelly is one of those “this is why we’ll win” moments, bc it shows how politically impetuous this admin is.

There’s clearly no adult in the room to say “wait, maybe don’t go after the charismatic war hero turned literal astronaut who ran after his wife was a victim of political violence.”

I think what happened is that Bari knew she needed to name a famous Democrat to pair with Loesch so as to not sound partisan, but one who shares most of her opinions, and Dershowitz is the name that popped into her head as representing that kind of guy.
"elevate charismatic figures such as Alan Dershowitz"

I will never understand how A League of Their Own received zero Oscar nominations. Having done Podcast Like It's 1992 I can tell you two of the Best Picture nominees are FAR worse films and that's just one nomination. Geena, Tom and Penny should've been nominated at the very least.

Every Democrat in Congress should put out a video saying troops have an obligation to refuse unlawful orders. Make them prosecute all of you. This isn't a close call.

I'd add Republicans too if I thought any of them had the courage to actually cross Trump on this.
Hegseth is now threatening to recall Sen. Mark Kelly to active duty in order to court martial him.

BLITZER: I want to be precise. Should members of the US military obey clearly illegal orders?

McCLAIN: You're asking an enlisted person for their opinion on what they think is legal. That's a pretty slippery slope. Follow your commander in chief. That's the oath that you took
