They are unlawfully detaining people for First Amendment protected activities, as far as I can tell. Dragging people out of their vehicles absent witnessing a crime and without a judicial warrant is repugnant to our constitutional order.
New video shows ICE agents detaining a US citizen legal observer in Minneapolis.

The agents smashed his car window, dragged him out, and placed a knee on his neck.

This administration, in an extremely literal sense, does not value human life
Directly from the story: EPA "would no longer take health effects into account in the cost-benefit analyses necessary for clean-air regulations." Instead, "the agency would estimate only the costs to businesses of complying."

Note that the fascist is not using the pepper spray for crowd control. He is entering a vehicle unimpeded to depart. He is simply using the pepper spray to physically punish an unarmed citizen he doesn't like.
Big clash this afternoon between DHS agents and protesters in a residential street in Minneapolis, following a DHS agent hitting another vehicle. Tear gas was deployed in people’s yards and agents pepper prayed people.

I see the fearsome no-bullshit no-snowflake chads running America are frightened about marauding "gangs of wine mums".

Don't tell them about the book club triads or the knitting circle mafia, they'll wet themselves.

Look I've been involved with state lawmaking for a long time and this might well be the most xenophobic piece of legislation I've ever encountered

Immigrant citizens would be barred from local, state offices in Kentucky under proposed bills
A Republican lawmaker has filed two bills designed to keep naturalized Americans and those with dual citizenship from serving in local or state elected offices in Kentucky.

i have written this a few times now but the reason JD Vance spends all day posting is that they barely tolerate his presence in the white house and have locked him out of every decision of consequence. he is basically unemployed
Shouldn't you be doing government shit?

The decision has been made to break an American city. It is an experiment. We must do all we can (legally) to help Minneapolis hold on.
if you want to know what it is like in minneapolis, I don’t even have to scroll on facebook to find a horror story. it’s basically my whole feed.

everyone i know in minneapolis is seeing ICE take people—at gas stations, taquerias, bus stops, schools. just snatching random people.

at some point we're gonna have to have a real conversation about why we're still paying federal taxes to a regime that isn't using them to help anyone, but instead is using them to brutalize us

Hooray! I can see opera again locally before the fascist leaves!

(Pretty obviously I was never going to give the current iteration of the institution formerly and properly known as the Kennedy Center a red cent)

There's little downside for Virginia Dems going for 10-1 over 9-2.

On my 10-1 map below, Kamala Harris & Jay Jones won 9 seats by ≥10 points, & McAullife won all 9 in 2021. The swing seat was Harris+3.

On my 9-2 map, 1 of those blue seats becomes safe red, but the swing seat becomes just Harris+4

“I shouldn’t have to be thanked for being here. First off, we shouldn’t be here. This shouldn’t be happening.”

Kennedy Center Says It "Wants Performers Who Aren't Political" Amid Wave of Cancelations
As artists pull out of Kennedy Center appearances in protest of Trump’s takeover, the venue’s leadership has responded by saying they “want performers who aren’t political.”

One thing I notice is that the hacks running the Kennedy Center into the ground keep trying to pretend the cancellations mean artists are unwilling to perform before an audience that contains Republicans, which is obviously ludicrous. There were always plenty of Republicans in the audience.
