i think with dragons its similar like with guinea pigs or gerbils, keeping one around only will make it stressed and lonely but in pairs/groups they thrive

tldr. including dragons in the same moral code one would use for mortals is kinda pointless because they are, to some degree, are animals and operate separately from mortals anyway so worrying about how evil/good they come across to others is a bit pointless and nuance is good

hes wary, a bit judgemental, and he has to Know someone before he could really see their side/accept them, or they gotta scratch his back first, make a good impression, etc. (he hated someone bc they were rude to him before and intruded upon his space and he doubles down on that grudge)

in that regard yes, he acts purely out of self interest/selfish reasons and he has a lot of biases, he goes where he gains, stays on the winning side, and he also condemns some for things he accepts others fully for (such is shadowflame corruption)

even if hes intelligent and emotional as per titan design, he still has a lot of instincts that drive him and will play into his behavior, plus tbh what do most dragons do anyway? eat, sleep a bit, chill, tend to their duties (erih wont bc the titans didnt do shit for him either or any dragons)

the bear that tears someone apart in the forest isnt evil, its just a force of nature kinda vibe. if hes riled up/scared (like he was in the last few days of the k'aresh campaig) he will likely lash out because thats what a scared animal would do, but then he does things that are a net positive, soo

ive been himhawing about whether hes more evil or good but in the end im kinda like. it does not fucking matter! hes a dragon, hes a beast, he will do things some deem good, he will do things some may deem evil. hes just neutral.

im in a lot of frustration regarding erihs development/potential directions to take his character, and a lot of things heavily depend on my overall crappy mood/seeing how some events/meetings/etc. turn out that i gotta arrange for eventually (once im not exhausted) but at least his morals are set

i got that also when i made a post about it - no one needs to explain themselves if that works for them/its their preference, but it IS frustrating and basic business 101. if i go anywhere to buy anything and i see no prices listed for anything i see i will likely end up buying nothing
