Does anyone really believe Chuck Schumer had nothing to do with Democrats caving on the shutdown? Time for him to give up his leadership position and let someone who can actually lead have the position.

The Democrats that capitulated on the shutdown have proven one thing. If Republicans make things painful enough for ordinary Americans, Democrats will cave to lessen the pain. This will only embolden Trump and Republicans to cause more anguish to get their way.

On Tuesday voters gave Democrats an overwhelming victory. On Sunday they spit in the eye of those voters. They voted to reopen the government without solving the ACA subsidy issue. Voters are pissed because they feel betrayed and that the shutdown was for nothing. Way to kill momentum.

Democrats will cave and pass a funding bill. The bill they are passing does nothing to solve the ACA subsidy issue. The one thing they were fighting for. It gives Democrats nothing. How pathetic.

Democrats will vote to reopen the government and get nothing but a promise to vote on ACA subsidies. It's not like Republicans will actually vote for them. So, people will end up paying more for healthcare or not be able to afford it at all. Which results in being screwed over by both parties.

I am hoping for a Democrat sweep today. Not because I am a Democrat. I want a sweep to be a referendum on Trump. I want Americans to show that we do not like his policies and the direction he is taking this country.

Whenever they ask Mike Johnson about something Trump or someone in the administration said or did, Johnson says he doesn't have all the details or just heard about it. I want a reporter to ask him why he doesn't know as he has plenty of time to understand the issue while Congress is out

What is the point of lower courts when the Supreme Court lets Trump do whatever he wants? There will be no guardrails left. We need everyone fighting back.

I know some that posted, "I wish people questioned Fauci as much as they questioned RFK". Sure thing. Fauci has a medical degree and years of experience dealing with infectious diseases. RFK is an infectious disease with a brain worm.
